Dear site users…
Hello, and welcome to blog.s11n.net, the “official” blogging site related to software released via the s11n.net project. This site is intended to be a one-stop place for finding the latest blabber about s11n.net. In particular, you might find discussions on software design, particularly as it pertains to software released via s11n.net. We’ll probably also have “off-topic” areas for general blabber, other hobbies of mine, and whatnot. Suggestions are of course more than welcomed.
The whole s11n blog concept is experimental and may or may not stay around. If it demonstrates any value, it’ll stay, otherwise it’s likely to be labeled as a waste of energy and will go away.
Everyone is welcome to join the site and post as much as they like. While we have no direct way of imposing more than the most basic technical rules, we will ask that users note the following site guidelines:
- Please play nice. If this site gets overrun by malicious users or spambots, it will be taken offline. i have no patience for either, nor do i have the energy to constantly defend against them. i’d rather be coding than maintaining a web site.
- Please behave like an adult, even if you’re not yet officially one. Childish behaviour will lead to suspension of accounts and potentially even blacklisting of the offending user’s NETWORK (not just their IP, since those are normally doled out dynamically).
- While posts in general will not be censored in any way, there are types of content for which i will not hesitate to cancel a user’s account. In short, any posts which are racist or sexist in nature will immediately get the poster kicked off. Likewise, pornography, while not technically sexist in nature, has no place on this blog.
- If anonymous posts become a problem (i.e., violating the above requests), anonymous posting will be disabled.
That’s about it, really.
Happy posting!
